South Bristol Gardening Club
This small friendly club meets on the first Tuesday of the month at St. Paul’s Church, Coronation Road, starting at 7.30pm. Visitors are welcome at a cost of £3.50.
Memories of Bedminster
A Bedminster group for older people with speakers on various subjects meet at South Bristol Christian Centre Hall on Churchlands Road from 1.30pm - 3.30pm. All are welcome.
Parson Street Station Meeting
At 6.30pm, a Parson Street Station meeting is going to be taking place at Parson Street Primary School. All users of the station are welcome to go along.
Metro Mayor Election
The inaugural West of England mayoral election will be held across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and BANES to elect the mayor of the West of England metropolitan area.
Knowle Library in cooperation with Bristol South Skyline Walk
are planning a walk on Saturday 6th May starting at 11.30am. Meet at 11.00am at the library to look at old prints and photographs of the area. For more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Tobacco Factory Market is holding a plant and gardening sale from 10.00am - 2.30pm. The sale will be in addition to the regular market - all are welcome to go along.
Bedminster Methodist Church, British Road, are holding their May Fair from 11.00am - 2.00pm. Stalls include cakes, perfumery, bric a brac, a plant sale, refreshments and more.
Arnos Vale May Fair
Arnos Vale’s May Fair takes place from 10.00am - 4.00pm, with free entry. Showcasing a host of local craft and produce suppliers alongside some fantastic family fun. All money raised on the day goes towards the future of Arnos Vale.
On Monday 22nd May, an Alzheimer’s and dementia café is going to be held from 2.00pm – 4.00pm at Monica Wills House, in the conference room. The event is free to attend for people living with dementia and their carers. Why not go along together for an afternoon of music, socialising, afternoon tea and more?
Walk Fest Family Farm Trails
29th - 31st May
This spring, see behind the scenes of the animal pens and have a go at the brass rubbing tour around Windmill Hill City Farm as part of Bristol Walk Fest. Walk one takes place on Monday 29th May from 10.30am - 11.30am. Walk two takes place Wednesday 31st May from 10.00am - 11.00am. The cost is £2.00 per child.
The Pigeon is distributed monthly, free of charge to 10,500 homes and businesses in south Bristol.
